- Complete loss of heating or hot water in cold weather
- A total loss of power to the property
- A broken external door or window that leaves the property insecure
Specific emergencies

Smoke or fire: Call 999.
Carbon monoxide alarm sounding: Leave the property immediately, then call 999.
Power cut: If the whole street or area has lost power, this is usually a National Grid issue rather than a fault at the property. Call 105, free of charge, to report it and get updates.
